Lightly used, only used twice as a shelter never used as a poncho. Web page shows this as weighing 12oz. I weighed it with sack & elastic waist cord – 14 oz on my kitchen scale. The hood is set into the ridgeline and seals shut quickly in tarp mode when the ridgeline is under tension without the need to tie up and stake out the hood to prevent water pooling like common circle-in-the-middle hood style ponchos. According to MLDs web page the slit hood is also the strongest hood design possible, requiring over 60 manufacturing steps to produce. Exclusive shape design 9′long x 62″front x 55″ rear, overall shape tapers front to rear for good coverage in tarp mode. In poncho mode the wide end is in the rear to wrap around back pack.
