This a Bear Paw Wilderness Designs Two man canopy tent custom made in Colorado by John of Bear Paw Wilderness Designs. Its made with an slightly extended beak and four extra side pull outs for windy weather. Seam sealed and reinforced. It has a catenary cut ridgeline made of 30D silnylon and a 85 long plus vestibule beak area for cooking. The single wall floating canopy design allows adjustment for ventilation. Canopy can be lowered or raised depending on weather. I used this canopy with its net tent insert and two hiking poles as my only shelter during a week long 2014 trip to Utah and it has be stored in my dry garage ever since. The two man sloped net tent with 30D bathtub floor is also from Bear paw. It has an easy glide zipper at the head end and ridgeline slopes toward the foot end to save weight or to make compatible with a flat tarp. The foot end (or the unzippered end) is made of a solid material that blocks wind and a bathtub floor adds about 8 of splash protection. The net tent weighs 565 grams and the tarp/fly weighs only 550 grams totaling 2lbs 8oz! Add stakes and trail sticks or hiking staffs and you have a sub 3 pound shelter for a truly lightweight, back pack friendly shelter. Im 61 210 lbs. And have never felt cramped in this setup.
