New England ropes spyderline guyline. Internal ridgeline for hanging and drying. This Bear Den tent is a 2 person models. The 2 person sleeps 2 people plus gear. The Bear Den can be lowered or raised depending on the weather conditions and ventilation needs. Both models use a two pole system to maximize the living space. Trekking poles or pre-made poles can be used. The peaks can also be hung from tree limbs. The 2 person tent and has an open front on the lower side for entering. Basically this standard model has the lower entrance as the open front for entering and the tall back panel closed as the rear of the tent. An optional clipped in beak to enclose the lower front opening is available for complete weather proteciton. Also an optional closable vent on the tall rear panel is available. The Bear Den 2 comes with a full net floor to keep bugs out. In damp or deluge conditions i used a polycro ground cloths, available cheap at any hardware store in the sliding door/window winterizing section. See dimension drawing in Additional Photo.
