Robens Wing Tarp Tent – not to be confused with the new Robens Wing Tarp which is a completely different beast. Bought for a trip which didn’t happen. There is no information on how to pitch it other than a few pictures, and Robens themselves were uncertain about the inclusion of the word’tent’ in the description. It turns out that the reinforced patch (with velcro strap) visible in the last photo is intended to secure a trekking pole in position and the fabric can then be pegged out as a triangular tarp tent or a sort of Trailstar configuration as shown in photos 5 and 6. Alternatively, and more easily, you can just use it as a tarp. It comes complete with stuff sack, 8 guylines with linelocs, and 8 alloy pegs.
