It weighs a little under 6.5 ounces. 10 oz scale weight is with guylines (which can be replaced with lighter ones) and 8 titanium stakes. The Bug Bivy 2 has high sides that make it perfect for inclement weather conditions. The Bivy attaches to clips in the shelter. The Bivy weighs under 8 ounces. The tarp sets up with two trekking poles or you can use nearby branches or dedicated tent poles. It obviously looks better than the setup in photo 3 but I’m limited in my apartment. I’ve used the setup three times and both items are in excellent condition. I always used the Bivy with a polycryo groundsheet so it has been kept very clean. Please reach out with any questions!
