It weighs a little under 6.5 ounces. 10 oz scale weight is with guylines (which can be replaced with lighter ones) and 8 titanium stakes. The Bug Bivy 2 has high sides that make it perfect for inclement weather conditions. The Bivy attaches to clips in the shelter. The Bivy weighs under 8 ounces. The tarp sets up with two trekking poles or you can use nearby branches or dedicated tent poles. It obviously looks better than the setup in photo 3 but I’m limited in my apartment. I’ve used the setup three times and both items are in excellent condition. I always used the Bivy with a polycryo groundsheet so it has been kept very clean. Please reach out with any questions! This tent has been great. It was the backpacker magazine editors choice for 2013 and is perfect for the ounce conscious backpacker, weighing in at only 1 lb 9 oz! It has only been used 3 times and is in very good condition.

It stood up to wind (15 mph) and kept me dry during an all night storm without any issues. I has no issues with condensation due to it being a single wall tent.

It is supported by trekking poles (not included) and has plenty of room for 2 people. It comes with the footprint ($60.00 new) and aluminum tent spikes. It does have one small spot on the top rear that has been repaired and is waterproof.
